Opened in 1928, Augusta Municipal Golf Course has long been known as “The Patch,” a nod to the cabbage garden on the course. Reopening in 2026, The Patch will honor the course’s history and create an affordable, best-in-class public golf experience. The master plan for The Patch features a re-designed 18-hole layout led by golf course architects, Tom Fazio and Beau Welling, and expansive practice areas to serve a variety of golfers of all levels.
A new addition to a historic gathering spot in Augusta. The Loop at The Patch, a 9-hole short course designed by Tiger Woods and TGR Design, pays tribute to caddies who have played golf at The Patch for decades. The short course will debut as part of The Patch’s reopening in 2026, beginning a new era of affordable and re-imagined public golf experiences for the Augusta community.
